Our Story
When love and empathy turn into action, a purpose is born that transforms everything.
AMA wasn’t born from a sudden idea, but from the persistent echo of countless silences: the cry of an injured animal on a street corner, the hungry eyes of abandoned lives without shelter, and the indifference of a society that doesn’t always see.

For years, quietly, without cameras or applause, we rescued, healed, and protected the most vulnerable. We did it out of love. We did it because we couldn’t look the other way. But the pain we witnessed was too immense for just a pair of hands. One day, as we tried to help a group of dogs in critical condition near our home, we knocked on the doors of nearly every local rescue organization. One after another, they answered with honesty: “We’re overwhelmed. We can’t take in any more.” It wasn’t a lack of compassion, it was the sheer scale of the crisis. And in that moment, we knew we couldn’t wait any longer. We couldn’t let their suffering become just another statistic.
That’s how AMA was born: Love Manifested in Actions (from the Spanish: Amor Manifestado en Acciones). An urgent, compassionate response to the lack of space, resources, and visibility. We created AMA to open a new door when all others had closed. A project that turns frustration into action, pain into purpose, and empathy into unity.
AMA’s purpose goes beyond rescue and feeding. We believe the solution doesn’t lie only in taking animals off the streets, but in preventing them from ending up there in the first place: through sterilization programs to break the cycle of abandonment and suffering, and education that teaches children, youth, and adults the value of respect, care, and responsibility when living alongside a sentient being.

AMA is not just a project; it’s a movement that believes in sustainable change, where love becomes action, hope becomes direction, and empathy becomes driving force.
Our story began in silence, but today it has a voice. A voice that needs you to keep growing. Because together, we can reduce abandonment and animal suffering.
Help us transform abandonment into home, suffering into love, fear into hope, hunger into well-being, and indifference into purpose.
